Ashworth Hall, Rochdale

Design Haus has recently completed a project to restore the Grade II listed Ashworth Hall in Rochdale to its former glory as a luxury private residence. Thought to date back to the 17th or 18th Centuries, Ashworth Hall forms a group of listed cottages that makes up Ashworth Fold.  It has undergone various phases of repairs over the years, lending it different layers of history.

The works involved repairs and remodelling works throughout to provide a new kitchen and bathrooms and reconfigured attic bedroom suite.  Our specialist conservation architects worked closely with the Conservation Officer to ensure original heritage features such as the Jacobean staircase, exposed brickwork, timber beams and original ceilings were preserved, whilst providing a contemporary living space for the homeowners.
